PTC Meeting 20-23 January 2000, Vienna Results of the meeting:
To participate at World or Continental Championships level teams must have reached in the general team classification in a Regional Championship before: men 19.000 pts
or each individual athlete men 4750 pts
This regulation will be applied
as from 1/1/2001.
PTC will start an examination process with regard to shift gradually from big bore standard rifle calibre to small bore rifles. The examination shall cover cost savings (especially ammunition), safety, import-export-transfer aspects, easier training possibilities, promotion MilPent for junior athletes, use of electronic equipment. The present situation is unsatisfactorily. Differences in performances are not mirrored by results in points. Basic assumptions for future work:
The system will be changed in such a way that after each competition that will be taken into account for the ranking lists (results of ranking tournaments) a new list will be issued, containing the best result of the current competition season. Depending on the severity of the case in question and the specifities of the discipline the organiser will take action in consultation with the respectively the Technical Jury (disqualification, penalty of 20 sec., restart) The procedure will be analogue to the starting procedure in shooting (centralised)
This competition will definitely be a fully recognised event of MilPent incl. world records, medals. Starting is not obligatory.
Further study will be made to the feasibility of giving each sportsman-woman a life long unique identification number (indicating name, country....) World level: In case the 3rd Mil World Games will not be organised or if MilPent would not be included, back up must be ensured for 2003. PTC will try to receive options |
